Valve and gate valves
The gate valve is a group of valves that use a shutter system that moves perpendicular to the fluid flow. It is generally used in the sectioning category and is therefore used to directly cut off the flow. Among its variants are the knife gate valves. One of its strong points is its reliability in terms of in-line sealing.
Gate valves, on the other hand, are operated by a handwheel and are therefore generally used for control purposes. Plug and butterfly valves
Among the industrial valves, the rotary valves are perhaps one of the simplest to use. They are also called ball valves. Its obturator is spherical and, by rotation, allows the fluid to pass through. Industrialists sometimes use variants such as corner, three-way and four-way valves. There are also plug valves and cylindrical valves. Easily and quickly operated, they are very resistant to flow.
Butterfly valves, on the other hand, have a shutter called a butterfly which is bypassed by the fluid in the open position. Generally, butterfly and ball valves are ¼ turn valves. It can be used for different fluids such as powders, gases, different liquids and charged liquids excluding fibers. Nevertheless, its pressure range remains rather low.
Deformable shut-off valves
This type of industrial valve uses the deformation of a flexible inner component as a shut-off system. Among its variants are diaphragm valves with a threshold or direct passage. There are also pinch valves. Its strong point is that they do not require much maintenance and are sterilizable. You can use them as valves for chemistry and biochemistry as well as in food and charged fluids.
